Eating healthy and feeding my girls healthy food is very important to me. I officially declared myself a healthnut a few years ago, and wouldn’t want it any other way.
What we eat determines what we look like, how we feel, and how our brains function. Learning about nutrition is the reason I don’t believe in taking medicine unless absolutely necessary. Well, that and the fact that I’ve been either pregnant or breastfeeding for the past 6 years!
(Seriously, I didn’t even take pain meds while giving birth or recovering from a natural birth of my second daughter; I just drank a ton of water and healed much faster than with my first daughter.)
So, I have made it a point to make sure myself and two girls eat healthy diets, and enjoy what we eat. I strongly believe in a plant based diet, but my eating habits lean more towards a vegan diet.
The thing is, all of the products and resources below will work for you to improve yours, and your childrens, health no matter what your dietary beliefs are!! Though, everyone can benefit from a few more veggies, fruits, or healthy grains and proteins in their diet!
I also have soo many healthy eating favorites tucked away in the lists I created on Amazon.
I do NOT know what I would do without having at least one of these! My girls and I have a smoothie or smoothie bowl EVERY SINGLE DAY. It’s the easiest way to get fresh leafy greens into my girls (and my own) diet! I had my NutriBullet for almost 5 years before it started making a weird noise while blending. (May have been user error. Note to self: split peas and legumes should not be milled like rice and oatmeal to turn into flour or baby food.) Once that started being too noisy, my husband bought me a NutriNinja for Mothers day and love it just as much as the Nutribullet. It won’t mill grains, but that’s what a food processor is for, anyways!
