DISCLOSURE, Privacy Policy, and OTHER LEGAL STUFF

*If you’re looking for the Privacy Policy, you can search for it using Ctrl+F then typing in ‘privacy policy’ (it’ll be the second instance that appears on this page), or simply Scroll down til you find it

*Note to other bloggers: If you want to include one of my recipe images on your site, such as in a round up post,

*Disclosure: some links may contain affiliate links. For more information on what this means, visit my disclosure page.

  • You MUST provide a DO FOLLOW link back to the original recipe on this website.
  • You MUST CREDIT ‘Stress Less Be Healthy’ for each image (or credit ‘Shawna Clapper’ or ‘Shawna Clapper Media LLC’).
  • I have the right to have my images removed from your site if I deem they are being misused or abused.
  • You DO NOT have the right to post my images on your social media accounts, include in your emails, or other similar platforms.

Hey, so there’s some legal aspects of blogging or having a website; that’s what this page is for. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to email me. It’s basically just about being transparent to protect you and me.

Disclosure:

As per the FTC I am notifying you that I have some affiliate links on my website and may receive a small commission on outside links (links not leading you to another one of my pages) or advertisements displayed on this website, if you make an action on it. Such as making a purchase or signing up for an offer. Don’t worry, you don’t get charged anything extra for doing this!

And, I’m not only notifying you of this because it’s the law; I truly believe you have the right to know. You also have the right to know that I would not write about something that I don’t already use, buy on regular basis, or wish I could have. This may be clear in the way that I write. If I don’t like a product then I simply won’t add a link to it, it wouldn’t make any sense. That would be like telling you about the time I tried a different kind of peanut butter than usual and it’s absolutely disgusting, but hey, you should definitely try it, even though you would probably think it’s gross too. Or telling you I bought something and it broke after using it once and then telling you that you should buy it too. It just doesn’t make sense.

I also want to let you know that some of the ads may be from a third party, and I, myself, do not choose what is displayed. (These would be the ads that I do not write about, it shouldn’t be too hard to tell the difference. At this time I use Mediavine for these types of ads)

Stress Less. Be Healthy. is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to amazon.com

stresslessbehealthy.com is an affiliate for Ultimate Bundles and at times you may see posts directing you to their site or a sales page, or even advertisements on my page for them. I absolutely love this company! They bundle together a bunch of digital products together that cost a ton of money and sell them, with permission from the content creators, for an incredible deal. (Usually, 90% or more off the original price.) Personally, I have bought three of their bundles (as of 1/7/18) and am loving every single one of them!

stresslessbehealthy.com is also an affiliate through Skimlinks, which connects to over 20,000 different merchants!

From time to time I may also receive a free product or book to write a review. Every word I write is/ will be honest, and I would never write a good review of something I did not enjoy. All opinions and reviews on this site are my own; no one could pay me or bribe me with a free product to lie to you or lie on my site.

If I choose to review a product or service as an affiliate or for a sponsorship, then I will disclose that at the top of the post, and again, it will be solely my honest opinion.

At times I may promote affiliate sales or sponsorship posts on my social media accounts. Again, anything I say about these are of my own opinion. If the content is not created by myself then I agree with the content to post it on social media. My social media profiles are as follows:

Privacy Policy:

Stress Less. Be Healthy. takes privacy very seriously. I take your privacy even more seriously than my own. Seeing as how your information is yours; even if you share it with me it does not give me the right to give it someone else. So I won’t, that would be wrong of me. Simple as that. I’m not here to make enemies or do wrong onto others. I’m here to write and help you and attempt to inspire you. If you provide your e-mail on my site, or e-mail me, or subscribe to my e-mail list; I do not share this information with anyone else, other than my email service provider, Mailerlite, so I’m able to send you emails. I will e-mail you back, notify you of new posts, other important things (like send you freebies or informing you of great deals) or send you out a newsletter this way.

We use MailerLite to manage our email marketing subscriber list and to send emails to our subscribers. MailerLite is a third-party provider, which may process your data using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our newsletter.

MailerLite’s privacy policy is available at https://www.mailerlite.com/privacy-policy.

You can unsubscribe from our newsletter by clicking on the unsubscribe link provided at the end of each newsletter.

If you have any difficulty unsubscribing, simply reach out to me and I will manually do it for you. If you don’t want my emails then I don’t want to burden you with them.

You may also share your information with me when you comment on anything on my site. Commenting on something on my site will not subscribe you to my email list. If you choose to, you may receive updates to other comments from the same post. I also try my best to respond to your comments in a timely fashion, however, that doesn’t always happen. To be honest, I don’t even look at the email address you enter in, I simply click on the reply button; your email, along with any other information that is not shown in the comment itself after you submit it(such as your name), is never shared.

Basic information is tracked by all web servers, such as the time you were on this site, which pages were viewed, certain demographics (like what country you live in), and IP addresses. (This information is tracked through cookies, and no, not the kind you eat!) The information that is tracked is more for improving my site/ maintenance/ administration purposes and for ad networks, such as Mediavine, to show you ads based on geotargeting. (In simpler terms, if you live in New York and have been searching for homes, you may see ads for homes in New York, not homes in California.) I do use google analytics for this type of analyzing purposes. For example, if you and others spend more time reading posts on the health section of my blog, rather than the recipe section, I may make the decision to write more about health than recipes in the future. For Google Analytics, information is automatically deleted after 26 months.

Speaking of improving your stay at my site, cookies may be used by my site or ads/other third parties to improve your visit. This is why you may see ads related to your browsing/search history; and no, I can’t see the same ads you see and do not know what other websites you visit or what you search for. So, don’t worry about that! But, if you feel uncomfortable with any cookies being used, you can disable cookies within your web browser. Unfortunately, I do not know what browser you are using. So, I’ll have to refer you to your specific browsers website for more information on cookies, why you should enable/disable them, and how to do so. (Easiest way to do this is probably to just look it up on google.)

If it makes you feel better, I have an ssl, which in plain terms means that I feel that your security and the security of my site is important. So, I go the extra step to secure my site and make sure it’s encrypted, which is why you’ll see the little lock icon at the top of your browser where my url is located.

If you are an EU resident and for any reason you need to request for personal information (such as IP address, email, etc.) to be deleted, or exported to you, you do have the ‘right to be forgotten’ per GDPR in the EU.

Do so by using the Privacy Tools.

Please note, if you click a link on my site that leads you off my site, that site should have their own privacy policy and I am no responsible for anything they collect. If it is an affiliate link then it will track that you came from my site to get to theirs.

I have public social media accounts and social sharing options on this website. If you choose to interact on social media with me or my accounts, you are advised that any interactions on those accounts are publicly available.

If you choose to share a testimonial on this Website, I will first obtain your written permission via email before including your name and testimonial on my website.

In the future, if I create a product or service for sale and if you make any purchases on this Website, you may be asked to provide a username and password during checkout. This information is not shared and is solely for the purpose of accessing your purchase. I will not collect or store any other information during the checkout process.

And finally, if circumstances arise, which I hope never will; if I am required by law to provide information collected on this site, then I must do so.

Terms of Use:

Copyright Statement

I’m not sure if you know this or not; but, everything on my website is copyrighted as soon as I type it up or create it. This includes, but not limited to; all contents of my posts, pages, some of the photographs (such as my profile picture and food photographs in recipes), and designs.

Information on this website may be copied for personal use only. No part of this website may be reproduced, stored, or transmitted in any form or by any means, electronic, mechanical, photocopying, recording, scanning, or otherwise, except as permitted under Section 107 or 108 of the 1976 United States Copyright Act, without the prior written permission of the author. Requests to the author and publisher for permission should be addressed to the following email: [email protected]

However, if you want to share it on social media, print something out for yourself, or tell others about it; I would be flattered; just don’t go telling people you wrote it or created it; that’s called stealing and is not allowed.

I do allow link backs to this website, as long as you clearly credit this website and provide a hyperlink back to this website. You do not have to get permission to link back to my site.

Also, if I write for another site and they allow me to publish it on my site as well, I may publish it on my site with a note stating this. This includes republishing content I had written, and hold ownership for, from my previous blog That’s Called Life (Copyright ©That’s Called Life 2016), which all of the content has since been removed.

If there is a guest post, or content written by another person, on this site, then the author of that content will be personally responsible for not using copy written materials. If I am notified or find out that a guest author stole another persons work and claimed it as their own to post on my site; I reserve the right to remove the content and not accept future content from that author.

General

I do enjoy writing about productivity and health on this blog, especially when it comes to food. Please note, that I am not professionally trained in nutrition, other than the one undergraduate college intro course I took on the subject. I am not liable for what you choose to do with the information I provide. I do try my best to provide you with the most up to date information, but I’m not perfect or an expert. In my opinion, and one thing I learned from college, is that anyone who says they know everything, really knows very little. Like all topics, including the topics I cover, information is always changing. Therefore, I am not liable for any errors or omissions in my content. I am also not liable for the content from others who may post on this site. If there is content on my site by others, it will be clear that I did not write it.

Please be smart in the way that you use the information on this site, since I am not liable with how you perceive the content. For example, if I write a recipe that contains peanut butter and you’re allergic to it, don’t make the recipe to eat. Or, if I advise you to limit the animal protein in your diet, and that’s how I was easily able to lose the baby weight after my two pregnancies, don’t assume it’ll work for you. Also, you should consult your doctor, or preferably a nutritionist, before changing your diet. Basically, this site is for informational purposes only and you are responsible for your own actions and your reliance on the content of this and other websites is done solely at your own risk.

Also, if you click a link to another site, I am not responsible for the content of their site. Those sites should have their own terms of use, or terms and conditions, for the information provided on their site.

Comments

I welcome all comments, but I also reserve the right to remove comments with bad taste. Please, no swearing, or putting others down. Let’s just be nice and support each other; my site is a safe place where everyone’s opinion matters! Please note, the same goes for any group, page, or social profile I create outside of my site. I reserve the right to remove comments, replies, posts of others, and or block you, as allowed by the social media site(s) used. I do this because the content will be publicly available to other readers. You do own the right to the content you post on this website, but by posting, you agree to give me a license so that this content can be shared on the site, along with removed if unappropriated or of bad taste. If any user generated content is found to be copyright infringement, we will respond to and comply with any DMCA Take Down Notices.

Termination

If you do not wish to abide by these terms and conditions please leave my site and unsubscribe from my email list. If you abuse these policies or disagree with the terms of use then you may not access this website.

Limitation of Damages

In no event shall I (or any affiliated parties) be liable to you for any loss or damages resulting from the use or display of your user generated content, your use or access to this website, the website generally or any other interactions with the website or us. You hereby release me from liability or responsibility for any claims related to your use, access or reliance of this website.

Affiliate Links

This website may include “affiliate links,” wherein I receive a small commission if you make a purchase using the link. However, all opinions are my own and I only endorse or link to products and services that I genuinely recommend.

These Terms and Conditions may change from time to time and all updates will be posted on this page.
