Ingredients for This Strawberry Syrup Recipe

Strawberries: Strawberries are the star of the show in this recipe. However, this recipe can work with other berries, so feel free to sub in other berries if you’re not in the mood for strawberries.

Lemon Juice: Lemon juice helps preserve the strawberries and brings its own tartness to the recipe.

Maple Syrup: Maple syrup is used to sweeten this syrup, otherwise it may be a bit tart. If you don’t have maple syrup, feel free to use white sugar, powdered sugar, or brown sugar in it’s place in the same amount.

Cornstarch: Cornstarch helps thicken it up to a sauce consistency.

(OPTIONAL) Water: This is optional and only if you need to thin out the syrup, use 1 tablespoon or less at a time.
