How do you make the best sandwich ever?
How you make the best sandwich ever is dependent mostly on personal preference, and your preference for the time making the sandwich.
Sometimes a simple pb&j will be the perfect sandwich, whereas other times you need something a bit heartier, like a full vegan veggie sandwich, heavy on the veggies!
What do vegetarians eat on sandwiches?
Vegetarians eat the same thing on sandwiches as anyone else, except no meat.
Vegans, on the other hand don’t include any animal products.
Some things that either vegans or vegetarians enjoy on sandwiches may include (but is not limited to):
- peanut butter
- jam
- red onion
- tomatoes
- peppers
- cucumbers
- bean burger
- lettuce
- salad dressing
- ketchup
- and about a thousand other ingredients!
What vegetables do you put on a sandwich?
Technically, any vegetable that can be sliced thin enough to go in a sandwich, can be put on a sandwich. But, some of the more common ones are:
- any type of lettuce
- bell pepper (or other peppers)
- tomatoes
- cucumbers
- onion (any kind)
- kale (and other leafy greens)
What kind of sandwiches do vegans eat?
Vegans eat many type of sandwiches, from veggie sandwiches, down below, to pb&j’s and even vegan burgers!
Really, any sandwich that doesn’t include any meat or animal products is fair game for vegans. I’ve even seen recipes for chickpea ‘egg salad’ sandwiches. There are so many creative vegan food bloggers, that you’d have a hard time not finding a vegan alternative to a meat sandwich, especially with the vegan meat alternative products available in stores.
Is a vegetable sandwich healthy?
Whether or not a vegetable sandwich is healthy or not depends on what you put in it and what your definition of healthy is.
However, having a sandwich full of veggies is much healthier than having it full of cheese or deli meat.
How to Make This Veggie Sandwich Recipe
This recipe is super simple, but does have a lot of steps. So, let’s begin!
First, put some buns, or two pieces of bread, down in a toaster, and get all of the other ingredients out and ready.
This recipe goes pretty quickly, so it’s best to have all the veggies washed and cut before even starting.
Once your buns pop up from the toaster, take only one out.
Then, you get to start adding the veggies.
Start with the lettuce.
Next, add the spinach.
Then, the cucumbers and bell pepper. Try to flatten down the leafy greens when adding the cucumbers.
Add the tomatoes. The tomatoes need to be next to the red onion for best results.
Next, add the red onion.
Finally, add any dressing you’d like and the top bun.
Enjoy!
