When you think about rainbow recipes you may automatically think of artificially colored recipes, such as:

  • Rainbow cakes
  • Rainbow bars
  • Rainbow popsicles
  • Rainbow lollipops
  • Funfetti recipes (cake, cupcakes, waffles, pancakes, cookies, etc)
  • Fruit loops or Fruity Pebbles
  • And more.

But, that doesn’t mean you have to eat unhealthy, sugar filled treats to have fun rainbow colored recipes for yourself or kids!

So many whole plant foods are colorful and can be combined with other plant based foods to create delicious rainbow colored recipes!

Sometimes these foods will make a recipe rainbow colored and other times it’ll completely change color depending on how the food is mixed together, especially when it comes to smoothies. The only way to have a rainbow smoothie is with a rainbow smoothie bowl, including all the toppings.

So, let me share some of my favorite naturally rainbow colored foods.

Use these for St. Patricks Day, Pride Month, or when teaching kids about colors, for themed food nights, or to simply enjoy!
