Why you should go vegan?
If you’re not already vegan, there are many reasons why you should go vegan;
for your health
for the planet
for the animals
Eating vegan and avoiding heavily processed foods will do wonders for your health! From clearing up your skin, giving you more energy, helping you lose stubborn weight, and more!
Going vegan means you’re reducing your footprint in this world. Your food choices use less water, less land, and produce less greenhouse gases than that of a meat eaters, or even vegetarians!
Did you know that we have enough food on this planet to feed every human being; but big food companies use that food to feed animals that will end up suffering and be slaughtered for consumption?! (Source)
Eating vegan saves animals! Maybe that’s a bit obvious, but it’s still worth pointing out. We save more animals from being killed, having their babies stolen from them right after birth, and suffering in so many ways you just don’t want to imagine. We save them by voting with our dollar.
It’s simple supply and demand here! Demand goes down, supply needs to as well.
When you first go vegan you may go through a detox phase, or so I’ve heard. Which is when your body is trying to detox from years of consuming meat and animal products; you may not feel your best at this time.
I say ‘or so I’ve heard’ because I never really went through that phase; I became a vegetarian at age 7 and then slowly transitioned to being vegan and eating healthier.
But, when you go vegan and you start eating healthier, you will have:
More energy
Clearer Skin
Reduced chance of developing chronic illness
More happiness in your life
Less Brain fog
Just know, it’s worth it, no matter what your reason!
And, I’ll leave it at that in this article so you can get to the vegan quotes and stay inspired to be vegan! And, eating more plants!
*I’ll answer a few more common questions about being vegan at the end of this article!
*And as a side note, simply because the quote is in this list does not mean the person who said it is necessarily vegan.
Vegan Quotes
“Yes, I’m raising my kids vegan. Yes, they are getting enough protein; they get it from plants. NO, it is not any of your business.”
– Me (Shawna Clapper)
Who said that? I did, but not as often since moving to the west coast!
“If you think it’s wrong to hurt animals, you already believe in being vegan.”
– Unknown
Vegan Quotes: Unknown Authors
Unfortunately, it can sometimes be difficult to track down who came up with certain quotes or (new) vegan sayings first. Which is why there will be a few sections in this article with ‘unknown’ or ‘anonymous’ authors. But, it doesn’t make the quotes and sayings any lesser than the others!
“Not your mom, not your milk.”
– Unknown
“If you think that being vegan is hard, imagine being a factory farmed animal.”
“There’s a reason why you take your kids to pick apples but you don’t take them to a slaughterhouse.”
-Unknown
“Vegan. Because I’m being the change I wish to see in the world.”
-Unknown
Should I go vegan or vegetarian?
Do what you can to reduce the violence in this world, the waste, the global warming, and reduce the harm you’re doing with your own body through what you eat.
Ideally, we should all be vegan and eat whole plant based foods; so, if you can, do that!
Do vegans lose weight?
Whether or not vegans lose weight depends on many things.
Being vegan doesn’t necessarily mean being healthy, there is still tons of vegan junk food available, more so now than even when I started becoming vegan.
It’s also going to depend on what you were eating before a vegan diet.
But, there are basically two types of people who transition to veganism and lose weight; those who eat whole plant based foods and are physically active, and those who either don’t know how to cook for themselves or don’t know what ‘healthy’ really means, so they end up not eating much because they have a scarcity mindset when it comes to what they eat.
Life is always better, and food is always better, when you think in abundance, and there are soo many delicious vegan foods out there. It’s hard to not want to try it all at once!
Of course, there are outliers, as well. You could be eating healthy food but not lose weight because you’re eating too many fatty foods.

I truly appreciate these quotes.. I was vegan for 3 years but I decided to switch back to being vegetarian so I wouldn’t trouble my family. Veganism is the way forward. I don’t know how people can digest food knowing that an animal was butchered to get it.
Thanks for the quotes,
