Ingredients

*The full recipe is available to print down below on the ‘recipe card’, including ingredient quantities and all steps!

Apples: honeycrisp, gala, and more would taste great in this recipe. This recipe does better with sweet red apples, more so than sour green ones.

Oats: Old fashioned oats work best, but quick oats would also work.

Flour: To keep this with as many nutrients as possible use an oat or whole grain flour. Of course, all purpose flour would also work.

Maple Syrup: Other than the apple, the only other sweetness comes from maple syrup. This syrup also helps the rest of the ingredients come together.

Cinnamon/Nutmeg: Warm Fall spices are perfect with this apple recipe. Make sure you use good cinnamon (Ceylon), then choose from other Fall spices like nutmeg, cloves, ginger, etc.

How to Make

*Note that these instructions can be printed below

Step one: Cut the apples in half and use a metal spoon to scoop out seeds and a small amount of the insides.

Step two: Preheat your air fryer to 350℉.

Step three: Stir together the oats, maple syrup, cinnamon, and nutmeg and place inside of each apple, this should be enough to fill all apple halves and have them slightly overfilled.

Step four: Place the filled apples in your air fryer that’s preheated to 350℉ and air fry for about 18 minutes.

Step five: Allow to cool slightly, add non-dairy vanilla ice cream and enjoy!
