Air Fryer Apples
Looking for air fryer apples that are actually crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and easy to make? Then you’re going to love these sliced & air fried apples – they go great on (non-dairy) ice cream, in oatmeal, etc. But my favorite way to eat them is just by themselves, with caramel, or with a simple vanilla icing.

Air Fried Apples Ingredients

Apples: The best types of apples for air frying are Granny Smith, Fuji, Pink Lady, Honey Crisp, Gala, and Jonagold. Granny Smith and Fuji apples are recommended because they are firmer and hold their shape well. Pink Lady, Honey Crisp, Gala, and Jonagold are also great options because they are crisp and slightly tart. However, all air fryers and apples are different, so it is important to check the apples early to make sure they don’t overcook and adjust the cooking time as needed. I personally like using cosmic crisp or honey crisp, but if fuji or gala are cheaper, I’ll definitely go with those.
Cornstarch: Cornstarch is used to help blot up extra moisture and help the apples crisp up on the outside, while staying soft on the inside.
Lemon Juice: Lemon juice helps prevent the apples from oxidizing.
Brown Sugar: Sugar is used to sweeten up the apples, white sugar or coconut sugar can be used instead of brown sugar.
Cinnamon: Cinnamon gives the apples more flavor, a Fall feeling, plus, everything is just better with cinnamon.
