12 Deliciously Healthy Kid Friendly Breakfast Recipes for Easy School Mornings
The school year is coming, and that means rushed mornings with cranky kids who don’t want to eat breakfast first thing in the morning.
Or, at least that’s how my oldest daughter was when she went to preschool; this year she starts kindergarten, and I hope to not have that same issue.

Have you had this issue with your kids?
Ever get up early to make a healthy breakfast for your kids and then they tell you they’re not hungry?
It’s not a good feeling; like ‘I just spent all this time making all this food, and no one wants it?’
It’s almost enough to make you want to stop making breakfast in the morning…..don’t stop, though. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day; your children need nutrients to get their brains to turn on before school.

1. MINI CHIA PUDDING + BLUEBERRY NICE CREAM PARFAITS

Do you see that picture? You can find this beautiful and delicious breakfast recipe at healthylittlevittles.com. And, it’s not just a pretty picture; this desert-like breakfast is my 5 year olds new favorite breakfast! She said the nice cream in the picture reminds her of a unicorn; the one I make her isn’t quite as pretty, but it’s still colorful and nutritious. So, it’s still a win-win!
2. Light and Fluffy Vegan Waffles with Blueberry Sauce.

This waffle recipe is the one I personally use as a go-to breakfast! It’s quick and easy to make, delicious, and my two little girls love it. Though, the ones I make out turn out a bit differently; we have a spider man waffle iron. And, I can say that these waffles freeze very well for an even quicker breakfast. So, go ahead, double the ingredients for these healthy waffles and freeze any leftovers. Then, all you’ll have to do in the morning is pop them in the toaster and add the sauce!
3. No-Bake Fruit “Pizzas”

These adorable little ‘pizzas’ are perfect for breakfasts, especially if you’re lucky enough to have energetic little ones in the morning before school who need something to do. Simply set out the ingredients and let your school age kids make these themselves!
4. BLACKBERRY COBBLER BAKED OATMEAL CUPS

If your mornings are too busy to make anything, but you still want your kids to have a healthy nutritious breakfast; these oatmeal cups are a must! They’re vegan, which makes it a bonus in my books. Simply add these to your weekly meal prep (or anytime during the weekend), freeze them, and you won’t have to worry about breakfast all week! (To make freezing these easier, make sure you make them in silicone baking cups; I don’t know what I’d do without mine.)
5. RASPBERRY BLACKBERRY COCONUT PARFAIT

6. Low-Carb Cauliflower Oatmeal
Don’t skip over this one because of its name; cauliflower tends to take the flavors around it. So, go ahead and give this one a try….and get a veggie in your child before they even leave for school! Find the recipe at diabetesstrong.com.
